From early signal to shared capability

I initiated and led the design of a reusable AI component that helps people generate, refine, and act on content without leaving the task they are working on.

What began as a request to handle unreliable resolution notes became a shared platform capability used across chat, email, document editing, summarization, and other enterprise workflows.

My approach

Look at the bigger picture while staying connected to the details.

The Northern Renaissance artists were renowned for their meticulous attention to microscopic details, prioritizing the “bigger picture” over grand, idealized concepts. In contrast, Italian artists prioritized overall harmony, perspective, and proportion.

When designing, it’s important to delve into the details of our task, ensuring we address edge cases and prioritize accessibility, rather than solely focusing on the ideal path. But, like the Italians, we must also maintain a broader perspective. Understand how our contribution integrates with the overall experience. We should avoid working in silos, as this can lead to a disjointed experience.

01

Identify the needs behind the request

I turn loosely defined problems into a direction teams can evaluate, align around, and build.

02

Design to scale

I look beyond one use case to create reusable patterns that work across products and workflows.

03

Carry the thinking through delivery

I stay involved in the interaction details, technical constraints, research, and adoption that make a direction work.
